Another finish

In 2008 our Patch group organised a Round Robin.
I did a post last October and showed all the ladies
tops I worked on.
This week I sandwiched my and with some help
pinned it.Then I settled down and quilted using
my BSR unit. Cruise control for the machine. It sure has
a mind of it's own but I am slowly learning to control it.
I have even put on the label. So another finish. Thank you
Peg and Kris for running the OPAM challenge.

Sorry Sue just see I spelt your surname wrong, will fix.

Giving and Receiving.

A friend of my will become a GREAT GRANNY next month.
I thought it would be nice to make a little quilt. She is going  to
visit the family in NZ and will be meeting the new addition.

I went into my box of "Cobblestone Blocks" collected when in
a swap last year. So only had to stitch them together and put on
the borders and bind it.

Another finish too!!

Yesterday I was pleased to pick up a parcel with my mail
Look at my beautiful little "Fall Swap" quilt I recieved from Joy.

Strippy Challenge / Friday Night Sew In and OPAM

I needed a project for my Monday sewing with my friends at Dongara Patch . So decided to make blocks from my long scraps into QAYG blocks for my Strippy Challenge .

I continued sewing them for the rest of the week until I had 24 blocks each measuring 12" square. Now I needed something to do for my Friday Night Sew In so I sewed the blocks together. Managed to complete the task by 1am . As you can see it is a truely scrappy quilt using up all my odd bits for the backing and binding . Even sewed all my odd bits of wadding together for the blocks.

Today was a very hot day so decided to stay inside after my swim and finish the quilt.

What do you think of the result???I am very happy. Not only have I made something
for my "Strippy Challenge" I participated in the "Friday Night Sew In" and completed
a quilt for the OPAM.

HOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a quick post to show you the temperture
in the shade, on our veradah.

This and That

Pleased to say have finally finished
my mytery quilt that was started in 2008.
Finished the binding on 31-12-09.

I ran out of the green fabric so could only
put on a small border and then another yellow
one.

After unpicking the quilting the first time round
I am happier with it now.

Loved this pattern for a cushion when I first saw it so decided it would look good on my new outdoor lounge. Now I need to make a few more but with different patterns on.
Yesterday there was a parcel in the post. It was the last of my "Cobblestone Swap"

What will I make out of these lovely blocks???

The beach on the other side is just divine for both swimming and fishing.
