After tea I went into the sewing room and made my quilt!!

I just love brights.

Yes it is a wee quilt to pin on our shirt for our name tags and any special badges.

Loot !!!!!

I was very pleased with myself and managed to only buy a few things.

Some nice FQ's

Lovely stitcheries with the cutest clay buttons
And was thrilled with my ric rac and ribbon.
Could have bought the whole store.

After putting all the things back in my bag I realised my little purse with my stash money was missing. We looked everywhere and turned everything inside out but NO the purse and the $100 was GONE!!

So we decided  that we would go back to the craft show again in the morning and ask if anyone had handed in my little purse. With no name on it just my $100 inside!!!!

With the bill paid and the car packed we drove down to the Convention Centre. Found a park  and went  inside to the counter marked " Enquires"
I explained to the young lady about me loosing my little purse. "And what colour was it " she said etc.

I am sure you could have knocked me over with a feather when she handed me my  LITTLE PURSE  and with my $100 inside. I was sad when she told me the kind person who had handed it in did not leave their name. I would have loved to have thanked them personally.

There are still lots of nice folk!!!

Craft Show, Part 2

After a good nights rest and some brekky it was off to the show. Even though it was threating rain we were lucky to walk to the show without getting wet.

I love this time of year when all the golden/brown leaves are falling from the trees.

We decided to view the Quilt Hanging first.

there are so many amazing quilts      and such talented folk. I am in awe of their skill.

Like good crafting ladies it was now time to have morning tea and catch up with a few other ladies and chat. Time to check out the stalls.

There is just so much to see that passes quickly.  Now it is time for lunch and then more browsing.

It was nice to get back to our room and relax.

Friday Night Sew In and Craft Show. Part 1

I have just returned from Perth. Some 400kms away. My friend Linda and I spent the weekend there to visit the Craft Show. So as I was not at home for Friday Night Sew In I sat in our room and hand stitched.

The pattern for this cushion cover is on  Dawn's  blog with a short story of Jessica Watson. Our brave Aussie young lady.

Will post again tomorrow about our day at the craft show.

Taa Dah !!!!

Some months ago I did a post about the Round Robin our Patchwork group had organised in which seven of us took part. Finally it has been sandwiched, quilted, had the binding done and some embellishments sewn on.

                                      TaaDah!!!!!

I am always worried when I put my quilt under the machine to quilt it. But was very pleased with the
end result.

I just love this little quilt which was stitched secretly and with so much fun by my patchwork friends.

In, Out and a Finish

What fun when I opened my mail box today. A white and red card. Into the post office I
went to collect my parcel. Oh yes it was my
PIF from Andi . I could not wait to open it.

Was delighted to find a journal with a beautiful Linen Cover. The hexagon flower has the tiniest of stitches.  Thank you Andi.

Have completed my  Pillow Swap and it has flown over to my partner. Hope she likes it.

Also finished another project for my  String challenge. I am enjoying cutting up lots of fabric that has been in my stash for such a long time and making something useful with it.

For Sunny

Sunny is one of my blogging mates so I am doing this post for her.

Another perfect day so of course I just had to go for a walk along the beach. I am always surprised that there is no one else enjoying the beautiful surrounds. Just me and some strange creatures that washed up on the beach. And plenty of seaweed too.

Will do a crafty post tomorrow.

Out for the Day.

We were lucky to have a glorious Autumn day
for our planned walk with our exercise group.
Eighteen ladies climbed into cars and we went
to a spot called Devlin Pool.
On arrival we donned our hats made sure we all had  a water bottle and off we went over the bridge.

Along the winding track we went. Up the hill. What are you looking at ???

WOW !!!  Beautiful views.

Onward and upward I went. I could hear the ladies chatting behind me. Then a voice called "Stop, we are going back now"   So I turned and followed.
There they are. Slowly I caught up with the group.
When we reached the bridge again it was really nice to just lean on the rail and look at the water.
Into the cars again and off to Bentwood Olive Grove for lunch. There sat nestled amongst the Beautiful trees and gardens. We were served the most scrumptious lunch. I had chicken souffle, lemon tart with cream and a cappuccino. After we had finished we decided our group could change our name from " Building Better Bones" to "Building Better Bellies"  Had a great day. Thank You Ladies.
